Jenn's Review

Outside The Diner

  • Very bad parking, the parking lot is actually someones backyard.
  • Is NOT Handicap Accessible
  • The Diner has the look of a very old fashioned Diner, It is not very clean and the neighborhood surrounding it is not the best either.

Inside The Diner

  • Not very clean, the windows look like they have not been clean since the 50's, and the floor was in serious need of sweeping.
  • Lots of seating avaibable which surprised me.
  • Very Cozy
  • There were no actual menus, all the menu items were on a sign on the wall, which was hard to read from where we were sitting.
  • There was an Asain guy walking around selling Bootleg DVD's. I am not a big fan of being "hustled" while I am eating.
  • The food came out extreamly fast. I was suprized. However, they do cook everything on a grill right in front of you, there is no kitchen in the back.

The People

  • Very Friendly People
  • The Waitress was very sweet, she was attentive and did her job.
  • The Customers were a mixed crowd, there was a few anoying people that liked to take on phones LOUD while stuffing their mouths, but the rest were not bad.
  • Waitress made extra of a milkshake that April had ordered, and insted of throwing it out she gave it to April in a To Go Cup.

The Prices

The prices were normal. I actually expected them to be slightly cheaper concidering the location. But still, they were not overly expencive.

The Selection

What selection ? This is definatly NOT the place to go if you are interested in trying something "different" there menu was filled with breakfast items, and a few other select things.

My Order

Appetizer - Onion Rings

The three of us shared this Appetizer. (Which was not really an appetizer since everything came out very quickly together) These onion rings were obviously previously frozen, and then deep fried. They were breaded onion Mush. They did a a decent flavor, however I will not be ordering them again.

Entree -Turkey Club on Whole Weat

When I ordered this sandwhich I made the mistake of asking for extra mayo. I did this because I thought that the turkey was going to be real turkey. It was not, it was deli turkey, and cheap deli turkey at that. Some people DO prefer deli turkey on their clubs, I however am not one of those people. The tomato, lettice and bacon on the sandwhich were very flavorful, however due to the turkey I will not order this again.

In A Nut Shell

I give this diner 2 out of 5 malts

The food had alot to be desired, and the location and cleanlyness was just not great, however, the waitstaff was very pleasent to deal with, and the size and cozyness of the place makes me believe that they have something on the menu that is their "speciality" and it would be amazing. I probably will not be going back there anytime soon however.

Jose's Review

No Handicapped Access, however it does include a door that opens four feet off the ground with no stairs.
Very Truck-Stop-like.
The customers are rude and obnoxious... made me feel right at home.
The waitress who came to our table was as tall as us patrons who were sitting while she was standing.
I ordered a glass of milk and she brought me a tall plastic cup full of whole milk with a faded pepsi logo embedded on it.
There were no individual menues for the patrons. The menues were similar to those at Fast food joints
(I.E. billboards on the walls)

I Ordered French Toast with Sausage (My favorite meal).
It came at the normal rate of speed expected from a diner.
The French toast was soggy, gooey and under-cooked. The only edible parts were the edges.
The Sausages however were excellent. Two huge links actually still attatched to eachother as if straight from a butcher.
They were crispy, well-done and tasted great.
The major disapointment was their choice of butter. They brought me "I can't believe it's not butter"...UNBELIEVABLE!
When I'm at a diner, i expect real butter, not margarine!
The onion-ring appetisers they brought out, at the same time as our meal
(Huge thumbs down from me), were gooey on the inside and crispy on he outside. Not my favorite way to enjoy something fried.
